Industrial style has emerged these past few years as a staple of the modern look. Al tough these types of lamps are inspired by the industrial age, they are now the new appeal for anyone looking to decorate their home. It seems industrial is the new modern, or more like a new style has emerged and it's called modern industrial. It covers all areas of home decor. However, we will be shining light only on the magnificent and diverse styles of lamps. What Types Are There
There are three basic types of industrial lights. Floor lamps desk lamps and pendants. Each presents an opportunity for a unique industrial design as each has a specific shape. A good example at utilising the function of the floor lamp (sited on the ground and a light placed on top) with the industrial design is making it out of water pipes, for example, running the wires through it and placing the bulb on top. The same can be done with the other lamp's shapes and find the appropriate ''industrial'' materials that will suit their function, much like the floor lamp made out of pipes the same can be done for the desk and pendants lamps. At leas that is how the designers seem to think when creating them. Which Type Goes Where There are plenty of ways industrial lights can be incorporated in your home. They can go well with almost any design especially modern. They give of a sort of steam punk kind of look witch is very edgy and can look great if combined with the right colour furniture. Their materials are usually the judges with what they go well with. Lamps made from metals such as steel are great for combining with other cool colours. Where as coper made lamps go great with worm, wood colours. However, industrial lights have such a specific design that they can be considered a piece of art all by them selves. Types of Materials The materials need to resemble industries used materials so, you can find anything from metal to wood and any materials used in industrial constructions. However, they only need to resemble a steel pipe not actually be as thick or as large, just needs to be the same material or resemble it. The most common materials used to produce this effect are steel, copper, plaster, wood and many different materials but mostly metals or combinations of metals. Comments are closed.
